Credo of the WORD
The Word is an independent newspaper which has complete freedom in its choice of articles and in the themes discussed. Most of its articles shall be relevant to the political sphere or deal with themes connected to it. Its purpose is not to bore its readers with tedious and complicated political issues, but to make politics something accessible to everyone. Thus the aim of the WORD is to give all its readers an opportunity to understand and to form objective opinions on important issues which the mass media has rendered ambiguous. The WORD shall not act as a typical "school newspaper" but will instead offer its readers monthly food for thought. It shall accept praise and criticism to improve itself and thus will provide a monthly forum where its readers can express their opinions. The WORD has no chief editors and all its writers are of equal importance. All articles are discussed among the members of the WORD before publication, a procedure that functions as the editing process. All the writers of the WORD have signed the credo and any external collaborators shall be asked to do the same, thus ensuring that the paper will remain true to the ideals of its founders.
